Woo Hoo! The first hotel Flack studio that has done has been awarded Best Hotel design 2022.

For the second year in a row we’ve been placed amongst some of Australia’s finest Designers, Architects, Product Makers & Artists in @vogueliving inaugural Top VL50 2022.

A big thank you to Australian Interior Design Awards for awarding us the best Residential Decoration on the Troye Sivan House.

Rhonda Alexander Mentorship program is an annual 6-day program curated and led by Flack Studio. Flack Studio will provide insights and tools to help 16 successful applicants the opportunity to achieve their design dreams. The applicants will come from all over Australia to take part in this once in a lifetime opportunity.

Rhonda Alexander was David Flack’s Art teacher and mentor, in a period where David felt like an outsider. Rhonda would open up the Art room during lunch periods, after school & weekends giving David a safe space to be. David attributes his success to this kind human and his family who allowed him every opportunity to see  the world his way. Rhonda passed in 2020 and we’re grateful for the opportunity to give back a little of what Rhonda generously gave.

The Flack Plinth started in 2016, as a way to create a space that opened its doors to the wider community, the plinths were the start of our relationship with the design world

We host Plinth drinks  Bi-monthly for the design industry and designed lovers to come together for wine and cheese to learn about the artists, makers, creators and furniture/lighting designers who make the Australian design community so vibrant. Plinth drinks are open to the whole community. Follow us on Instagram to know when we’re hosting the next one

Every 4 weeks on a Saturday our Library is open to the public from 11-3pm. Everyone is welcomed, whether you’re a design professional, student or curious passer.

What an exciting year! Flack Studio has been shortlisted on this year’s top 100 for not only AD USA, but also AD Germany and AD Italy. We’re grateful to first Australian studio selected to be apart of some of the greatest designers and studios globally.

It’s a big year for the Middle Park Residence! IDEA has awarded the project  2021 Best Residential Decoration. We’re incredible humbled by the adoration this home has received.

Our beloved Middle Park project has also  won Australian Interior Design Awards’ 2021 Best Residential Decoration.

Heartfelt thanks to the jury and Architecture Media for acknowledging Australian Design with these awards.

Our ‘We’ve boundless plains to share’  entry for the 2018 RIGG Design Prize for the NGV, has been awarded IDEA’s 2021 Best Work With Colour.

The space was designed to make a comment Australia’s government response to Asylum Seekers, the Uluru Statement and the global fear that’s been created around Immigration, Brexit and Trump.

Presented by NGV Women’s Association, for our 2019 entry we collaborated with artist Patrick Dagg, to show the awesomeness of Cubbies. Patrick has taken inspiration from the kids from Cubbies to create this year’s entry by re-using our 2016 table (now the Cubbies art table) and creating a piece of art with it, inspired by paintings by the children.
