Project Architect

We are seeking an experienced Project Architect to lead our large-scale single and multi-residential projects. This role will be instrumental in refining our studio-wide systems and processes, contributing to the growth and success of our team.

The successful applicant will have a flexible and proactive approach that can manage multiple projects simultaneously and be experienced in delivering complex residential and commercial projects.  They will be adept at working individually and as a team, playing a key role in the planning and construction process, ensuring the successful execution of projects, and collaborating with the team to deliver incredible architectural and interior outcomes.

You will be responsible for

  • Prepare architectural plans and construction documents, ensuring compliance with codes, regulations, and project specifications.
  • Manage projects and collaborate with the project team to meet deadlines, budgets, and client expectations.
  • Contribute to the development and refinement of studio-wide systems and processes.
  • Report progress to Principals or assigned project leaders on brief, deadlines and progress.
  • Maintain relationships with project stakeholders for seamless integration of design and construction processes.
  • Conduct regular site visits to monitor construction progress and provide guidance to contractors.
  • Collaborate with the wider team in Design, Documentation, and Interiors when required.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, codes, and regulations to ensure adherence to best practices and legal requirements.

Skills & Experience

  • 8+ years of architectural experience focusing on town planning, design development, construction documentation, and contract administration.
  • Proven experience in managing commercial and high-end residential projects, including complex multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Completed relevant qualifications.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, building codes, NCC and Victorian and NSW state and local planning policies
  • Proficiency in ArchiCAD software.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexible, adaptable, and capable of managing multiple projects under pressure.
  • Comprehensive project experience from planning to documentation and contract administration.
  • Permanent Australian work rights with no restrictions.
